The Daily Mile

The aim of the Daily Mile is to improve the physical, social, emotional and mental health and wellbeing of our children – regardless of age, ability or personal circumstances.

The children enjoy walking, jogging or running – at their own pace – with their friends – in the fresh air.  Every child within our school community has the opportunity to take part in the Daily Mile each lunchtime, supported by our lunchtime staff.

How it Works!
  • It takes 15 minutes, with most children averaging a mile or more.
  • Children are outside in the fresh air.
  • No equipment required.
  • It’s social, non-competitive and fun.
  • Children return to class ready to learn.
  • It helps improve fitness.
  • It’s fully inclusive.
