RSE Overview

Relationships and Sex Education (RSE)

At Greasbrough, we want to ensure that our children are kept safe and well-educated in this ever-changing world. Therefore, we have implemented the Department for Education’s guidance on the Relationship and Sexual Educational curriculum. As we always want to ensure that our practice is to a high-standard. We have developed a bespoke Scheme of Work that delivers age-appropriate information through well-resourced and sensitive teacher led lessons. We have also led staff and parental sessions to help inform all members of our school community about what a loving and healthy relationship is in Modern Britain.

RSE Guidance

Relationships and sex education (RSE) is an important part of PSHE education. Relationships education is compulsory for all primary school pupils, and relationships and sex education (RSE) is compulsory for all secondary school pupils.
When any school provides RSE they must have regard to the Secretary of State’s guidance, this is a statutory duty.
